Fans of The Little Mermaid won’t have to look for Ursula to help them transform into their favorite sea sirens. At the Philippine Mermaid Swimming Academy, you can finally learn why it’s hotter under the water. With locations in Metro Manila, Cebu City and Boracay Island, adults and children alike can take a dip in a rented tail and learn all the basics of mermaid swimming, or “mermaiding” as they call it.
Their website explains, “PMSA is the first in the Philippines and in the world to introduce a ‘school’ concept for mermaid swimming.”
They aim to make “mermaiding” accessible to everyone regardless of age or gender.
Classed start at around $40 for 2 hour sessions.
Programs are structured in safe and fun environments.
Little mergirls and merboys are always under careful supervision.
The website claims kids take to it like, well, a fish to water!
As you progress through the lessons, you can graduate to “modern mermaiding,” and interact with some fishy friends!
