Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned dip in the pool? It can be one of the most relaxing, comforting things you can do. (Wearing swimwear and soaking up the sun ain’t bad either.) Now, these holes filled with water that were previously used as a cooling form of exercise are becoming beautiful works of art. Some engineers and architects have put together some of the most visually stunning and beautiful pool on the face of the Earth.
1.) The Neptune Pool
This pool in California has enjoyed a long life before being closed permanently. William Randolph Hearst, the actual inspiration for “Citizen Kane,” built this Roman-style pool at his grand California home.
2.) Nemo 33
Go to Brussels to swim in Nemo 33, which was the world’s deepest swimming pool until 2007. It’s still one of the deepest in the world at 108 feet, and filled with filtered spring water that’s warmed to 96 degrees F.
3.) The Y-40
This Italian, indoor swimming pool is 137 feet deep and reaches temperatures of 90 degrees. It is complete with caves for viewers to watch the lovely swimmers above them.

Underwater lighting, spectacular scenery, and a unique design make the pool at Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas one of the prettiest in the world.
5.) The Ocean Dome
Who needs a real beach when you can go to the Ocean Dome in Miyazaki, Japan? The retractable roof has a simulated sky, and the beach itself has an artificial volcano. The sand feels like the real thing, and the pool is the largest wave pool in the world.

This pol is lit with over one thousand fiber optic lights to give swimmers the sense that they are swimming in the starry night sky.
7.) The Floating Pool
Like to feel a little bit scared while you swim? The pool at the Joule Hotel in Dallas is actually jutting out from the side of the hotel, so that one end is suspended high above the city.

You can swim or lounge with the fishes at this Las Vegas pool that is complete with an aquarium and waterfall.

This is the other part of the fabulous pool at the Golden Nugget. As you slide through an enclosed tube, you’ll be surrounded by 200 different types of fish. The three-story slide takes you through the dazzling display in mere seconds. More than a dozen sharks will be right next to you as you fly through the tank.
10.) The Art Deco Pool
This pool in Miami has long been considered one of the world’s most beautiful. It’s surrounded by a waterfall, palm trees, and the luxurious hotel itself.
11.) Singapore Marina Bay Sands Hotel
This stunning swimming pool is found on the 57th floor of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. The infinity pool offers amazing views of the city.
12.) The Arena Badeschiff
This pool is above Berlin’s River Spree to create one of the most unique swimming experiences in the world. Swimmers float around in crystal-blue waters while looking out at surrounding Berlin.
13.) The World’s Largest Pool

These Turkish pools have natural warm waters that flow into them to keep them comfortable, and they are among many relics of the ancient Roman city, Hierapolis

Located in Greece, this pool is Olympic size, naturally, and built in the style of Minoan palaces to pay homage to early Crete civilizations.

You’d think this pool is cold but since it is equipped with heated bubble jets, it will keep you warm and massaged.

The pool runs red with…water? Yea, there is nothing out of the ordinary about this pool besides the red, yellow, and orange mosaic tiles that cover the bottom of it, making the water seem to be red.
18.) Blue Lagoon
The Geothermal Spa at Grindavik, Iceland is full of heated water that’s warmed up due to a natural lava flow. The water is changed every two days by a nearby geothermal plant, and it’s rich in minerals. The pool is about 100 degrees, so you’ll feel like you’re swimming in a jacuzzi.

It’s fitting that this glorious pool is located in Mardan Palace at Antalya, Turkey. The giant pool is big enough to accommodate many hotel guests, and it’s one of the most visually stunning designs in the world.

A monorail lowers this cage into the saltwater pool that’s occupied by 18-foot crocodiles. The only thing between you and them is acrylic. Are you brave enough?

Atop the raging Victoria Falls, this terrifying-looking pool is actually relatively safe thanks to a natural rock wall that keeps your body from hurtling down the 400-foot drop.
Even though it’s going to be winter soon enough, I can’t help but want to swim at these pools SO badly.
