Under the Syrian regime of President Bashar Al-Assad and the brutal attacks by his supporters, residents of a neighborhood in Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, have abandoned their homes for safer ground. Among what is probably many important things they were forced to leave behind, many cats now roam the town without anyone to look after them.
Except for one man who wouldn’t allow them to go forgotten.
His name is Alaa and he spends his days feeding roughly 150 cats in the abandoned town.
