Under the Syrian regime of President Bashar Al-Assad and the brutal attacks by his supporters, residents of a neighborhood in Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, have abandoned their homes for safer ground. Among what is probably many important things they were forced to leave behind, many cats now roam the town without anyone to look after them.
Except for one man who wouldn’t allow them to go forgotten.
His name is Alaa and he spends his days feeding roughly 150 cats in the abandoned town.
As an ambulance driver, the meat only costs him around $4 a day.
He’s being doing it every day for two months.
Their lives depend on this one man’s act of kindness.
They roam the area waiting for his daily arrival.
Of course, sometimes things can get heated between the hungry cats.
But there’s always enough to go around.
And he’ll continue to make sure that they don’t starve.

What a truly inspiring story of selfless kindness. I’m sure his four legged friends are eternally grateful.
