What will we leave behind for those that keep on living after we die? This is one of the most significant questions we can ask ourselves. Some people leave behind savings for posterity. Others pass down family heirlooms or objects that were important to them in life. Some don’t leave anything behind but the memories that live on in the minds of their loved ones. Mitchell Whisenhunt, who died battling a genetic disorder called Marfan Syndrome, left his wife and daughter something special.
Mitchell Whisenhunt decided to leave behind a collection of over thirty letters, written to his wife, daughter, and others close to him.
The letters for his wife and daughter were written for life events that he would not be able to experience with them.
He wrote his daughter birthday letters all the way up to her eighteenth birthday.
He wrote letters to his wife for their anniversary.
Mitchell’s kindness and thoughtful nature will be remembered by many. His family is currently raising money to pay for final expenses by selling the bracelets below and are accepting donations on their GoFundMe page.
The letters that Mitchell left behind are a beautiful reminder of his love for his wife and daughter.

These letters are truly special. Hopefully, we can all leave behind something this meaningful for those we love.
