This Is Not What You Want To See When You Drive By An Amusement Park…

Have you ever persuaded a reluctant friend to join you on a roller coaster? Maybe you said something along the lines of “You’ll be fine. What’s the worst that could happen?” Well the worst happened earlier this week at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California.

The theme park’s landmark wooden roller coaster, “Colossus,” caught fire, and partially collapsed. Luckily, the coaster was closed for extensive renovations at the time, and no one was injured.

Despite the lack of injuries caused by the burning, 36-year-old ride, it caused quite a stir among people driving by the park. Just look at that thing. Really freaky.

Just imagine if that had happened during the peak summer season? That would have been unbelievably tragic. Hopefully the new roller coaster is sturdier and not so flammable.
