Public transportation is a pressure cooker for social tension. Passengers have to deal with germy railings, hot cars, and an endless amount of schedule delays or changes.
Then, of course, there are riders who make things a little too interesting. It can be a mild annoyance like a loud performance group taking over the free space, or as dangerous as the video below almost turned out to be. When an irate man looked ready to attack a woman calmly sitting in her seat, another commuter stepped in to diffuse the situation with the best weapon: shame.

It helps that the hero in this situation was larger and could have easily beaten up the jerk, but it’s a lesson we should all keep in mind. Bullies deserve all the embarrassment they get.
