Modern life is frustrating, especially when it comes to technology that never seems to work correctly. The ever-present social standard of having to be polite all the time is also quite a burden. It’s enough to make a person go mad after a while and do something foolish.
This is an especially pressing issue for Buenos Aires, Argentina. This city recently saw a spate of petty disputes devolving into violent altercations for no good reason. Now, there is a place where locals can go to get out their aggression before doing something they regret.
It’s called The Break Club. If you haven’t guessed it by now, it’s a club where you can pay money to mercilessly smash your (least) favorite amenities of modern life.
The club is actually just a cinder block room that you have to get to through alleys.
The Break Club has an extensive selection of things for you to smash, like old computer parts and glass bottles. Of course, you can always bring your own stuff to smash if you want.
All you have to do is call a few days in advance and make a reservation.
Then you show up, suit up with the proper safety equipment, and go to town smashing. It looks like a lot of fun.
If this sounds like the perfect thing for you, but Argentina is a bit far away, then maybe Das Breakroom in Boise, Idaho is a better choice. Das Breakroom works in a similar manner as The Break Club, but it’s a lot closer to home. The smashing also looks just as satisfying.

I think I’ll have to take a smash-cation to Buenos Aires next year, and then to Boise. It honestly sounds a lot more relaxing than hanging out on the beach all day like a normal vacation.
