Czech artist Monika HorÄÂÂicová is trying to redefine the way we look at the human skeleton and its bones. Her work challenges the widely held idea of bones representing death. She wants to show us that bones can be a thing of beauty.
Her latest work is a series of 3D-printed human bones arranged in intricate patterns and designs. At first they’re shocking to look at, but are undeniably beautiful. Check out a few examples of her work.
Morbid, but intriguing. There’s something about Monika’s work that just doesn’t let you look away… maybe it’s the fact that these bones and shapes are inside each and every one of us. Right now.
