Holly High School was built in 1931 and was once a proud community landmark in the New York town of the same name. Unfortunately, it had to be abandoned in 1971 due to problems with asbestos and lead paint. Students haven’t filled it’s halls in over 40 years.
In the auditorium, it is tradition photographers and urban explorers to leave stuffed animals in the seats as eternal spectators to the decay.
Despite the crumbling around them, the desks are still arranged very orderly.
Part of what made this school beautiful was it’s many windows, letting in the sun and making it less dreary.
This almost looks like Hogwarts.
This is the room I imagined I was in whenever I got detention.

Did you ever stay late after school and wonder what your school would look like if it was suddenly abandoned? Unlike this institution, my school was an ugly heap of brick and I honestly think people would assume it was a mental hospital or a jail or something.
