The holiday season can be stressful for pretty much everyone, and getting a traffic ticket during holiday travels just adds to the anxiety. That’s why the boys in blue from Lowell, Michigan decided to spread some surprise Christmas cheer this year.
Officer Scot VanSolkema pulled drivers over with actual traffic infractions on a recent snowy day. As he pretended to take their information and asked about their Christmas shopping, Santa’s helpers listened in and quickly dashed around a local store, where they bought, wrapped, and delivered the presents to the traffic stop.

That was incredible to watch. These police officers took a bad situation and turned it into a great situation.
According to CNN affiliate WZZM, officer VanSolkema handed out some 30 presents worth around $7,000 that day…and not a single ticket.
