One Creative Guy Built A Fish Tank Coffee Table With LEDs From Scratch

With the right combination of planning, skill, and execution, people can accomplish some pretty awesome things.

A reddit user called mattdat recently posted an incredible DIY project he built from scratch. There are people in the world who are handy enough to build their own fish tank or coffee table. This guy took it a step further and built a fish tank-coffee table! (That’s right, it’s a thing.)

Without a doubt this is one of the coolest DIY projects I’ve ever seen, and it was done flawlessly. This is not your average project, this is next-level stuff.

This fish tank took months of planning, but the results were well worth all the preparation.

A little handy work was required to allow for the proper space to fit the multiple air pumps and LEDs.

It’s always a good idea to make sure all of the electronics work before you put everything together.

And what comes with a lot of LEDs? Lots of really fun wiring! This may be a tedious step in the process, but it all went toward making an awesome fish tank.

He also installed a model of an aircraft carrier in the tank with a biological filter at the top. Gotta keep that water clean.

Once everything was installed, it was time to start filling up the tank slowly but surely.

Of course every fish tank needs some decorations – some vividly colored coral definitely does the trick.

The finished product – once it’s all put together, the hard work, time, and effort it took to build this thing definitely looks like it paid off. The tablet sitting on the tank is a remote control to adjust the LED lights inside of the tank.

The LEDs can be adjusted to a wide range of colors, and the way the lights glow through the water is really beautiful.

It definitely seems like the aquatic-life are pretty happy with the new tank.

This is a pretty amazing accomplishment, and one that took some serious skill to complete.

Given how much I love fish tanks and places to place my coffee, I think this is something I need to have in the very near future. I mean, those fish have a better living situation than I do.
