If you’re scared of heights, then the video below will have you sweating from places you didn’t know you could sweat from. Mount Hua Shan is the most dangerous and terrifying hikes in the world, but thanks to the guys at DNM List we can all experience this terrifying hike vicariously through this first person perspective video below. Known as the “Plankroad in the Sky”, the trails up Mount Hua Shan involve steep staircases, vertical ascents, and a plank trail consisting of wooden platforms bolted onto the mountainside.
The paths have been reinforced due to a recent influx of tourists, but they are nonetheless dangerous, and carry a reputation for fatal falls. Although no official statistics are kept, some say that the number may be as much as about 100 fatal falls a year. Some of the more dangerous parts of the trails have names like Thousand-Foot Precipice, Hundred-Foot Crevice and Black Dragon Ridge. It’s safe to say this is one place I can cross of my list of places to experience in person. Source: DNM List Share this scary hike at the top of the world with your friends below.
