The coolest art can often be the most simple. Well, at least it seems simple at first glance.
Artist João Carvalho created these awesome sketches that mess with viewers’ perceptions with optical illusions. Normally, we think of sketch art as simple and straightforward — the sort of “bare-bones” of artistic depiction. Carvalho’s work goes to show how artists can take simple techniques like shading and use them for something new and creative.
It looks like Scooby-Doo is coming right off the page!
