Every now and then, Mother Nature messes things up a bit. We’re used to seeing her magnificence on display, creating things of wonder and excitement. But like anyone, she doesn’t always get things perfect.
That doesn’t mean her mistakes aren’t beautiful in their own way, because they are. But her oddities can be still be pretty strange…
1.) Six-legged Cambodian Cow
This Cambodian cow was found in a farm near Phnom Penh, Cambodia on October 7, 2003.
2.) Conjoined Gray Whales
A pair of conjoined gray whales were found off the shore of Mexico, in what could be the first documented case of Siamese twin gray whales.
3.) Four-Legged Hen
Henrietta, a four-legged hen, made headlines in 2005 after she was found at Brendle Farms in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
4.) Two-Headed Calf
Born on December 27, 2006 in Virginia, this two-faced calf has a relatively unusually large head, breathes out two noses, and has two tongues that move independently. This bizarre condition was attributed to artificial insemination.
5.) Unicorn Cow
Found in China, this cow has since become a tourist attraction.
6.) Mutated Three-Eyed Wolf-Fish
This mutated wolf-fish was caught by a fisherman in Cordoba, who found it in a reservoir near a nuclear power plant in Argentina.
7.) Bi-Pedal Lamb
Her owner originally thought of putting her down, but decided against it after being impressed by its determination to survive. Today, she’s a welcome member of the family.
8.) Two-headed snake
Snakes are among the most commonly observed animals sporting two heads (it’s called polycephaly).
9.) Two-Headed Kitten
This two-faced kitten was born in Inverness, Florida and has one esophagus, two noses and four eyes.
10.) Two headed Tortoise
This tortoise was first spotted on June 24, 2007, in Huaibei, China.
11.) Two-headed turtle
Local people in Costa Rica came across this rarely seen double-headed turtle lying on the shore.
12.) Fluorescent Pigs
Three pigs were purposefully bred to be fluorescent in a science experiment. We’d love to know why!
13.) Hermaphrodite Six-Legged Calf
Having both male and female reproductive organs, this six-legged calf was born on April 29, 2007 at the farm of Brian Slocum of Litchfield.
14.) Six-Legged Octopus
If it only has 6 legs, is it a hexapus?
15.) Seven-Legged Lamb
This seven-legged lamb was found on July 31, 2007 in a farm called Methven near Christchurch, New Zealand.
16.) Two-Legged Pig
This 10-month-old pig won’t give up on life. In fact, she’s learned to walk solely on her front two legs.
17.) Giraffe With A 90 Degree Bend
Germina was not born with this, but developed it when she was three. However, she’d live to be almost 21 (6 years older than the average)!
18.) Deformed Frog
Nutrient-rich runoff from farming and ranching can cause multiple frog deformities throughout the Northern U.S. and Canada.
19.) Four Legged Duck
“Stumpy” was found at the Warrawee Duck Farm in Copythorne, Hampshire, England. However, he has no problem going about his day.
20.) Conjoined Crocodiles
Born in 2001 in Thailand, they actually don’t share any internal organs. But they do share a biting hatred for each other.
21.) Twin-less Deer
With two distinct pelvises and two tails, this 4-to-5 week old deer seemed to have had an identical twin that did not form all the way.

Mother Nature isn’t perfect after all, but I’m glad many of these animals went on to have normal lives. If they have the courage and will power to go on, then that leaves no excuses for us humans!
