YouTube is filled with all sorts of different covers and renditions of songs. Some of these are great, and some not so much. Yet this rendition of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers is one of the more unique approaches to any song I’ve ever heard. It takes the upbeat track and slows it right down, completely changing the tone of the song.
This incredible “blind” audition was performed by Daniel Duke on The Voice UK. The judges were so impressed by it that Tom Jones, Rita Ora, and will.i.am all spun around in their chairs, thus giving Daniel their approval. They even said they wanted to see more of him on the show.

Daniel did a great job with the song. It must be really hard to cover a song that is so well known and play it such excellent skill. Doing it in front of established musicians and a huge audience makes it that much harder.
