A few weeks ago, Twin Cities-based mom Nicki Brunner had an idea. She thought it would be nice to write kind words in sidewalk chalk for kids at the local school to see.
She thought this would be a great way to spread a message of love, since October is National Bullying Prevention Month. After posting her idea on her blog and Facebook, the idea took a life of its own. Over 40 schools across the metro area put her idea to work by leaving their own nice messages on sidewalks around schools. It even spread to schools outside Minnesota.

It’s so nice to see how such a small act can brighten people’s lives and grow so much.
