A “drove of dog-sized jackrabbits” is a strange new reality for Fargo, North Dakota. More than 50 of these giant beasts (or at least for jackrabbits) have been hopping around a new housing development in town. If there’s one thing we all know about rabbits, it’s how this number could quickly explode.
A normal-sized jackrabbit, or “hare.” These bad boys can run up to 40 mph. Even when they’re a regular size, they can be somewhat of a nuisance.

With no ordinance in place to instruct locals on how to deal with the jackrabbits, people are at a loss for what to do. Some have suggested poisoning them, but others find that to be cruel and something that will only lead to greater problems. Regardless, they need to figure something out fast. Female jackrabbits can bear between two and four litters with up to nine babies in each litter per year.
