What This Guy Found In His Basement Is Equal Parts Awesome And Creepy

Many of us would love to have some more storage space in our homes. Not many of us though have the good fortune to discover a huge unused storage space right under our noses.

This week, German Redditor WeirdStray posted some pretty spooky pictures of a hidden World War II era bunker under his building. Talk about an awesome, and freaky discovery.

The door to creepiness.

Making your way down into the darkness.

Gas meters.

WeirdStray believes the entrance to the bunker was here. This is because the markings on the wall look like they were made by a heavy door.

Watch your head on this low ceiling.

Here is the shared storage place for the whole building. Talk about a creepy place to store your extra stuff.

WeirdStray believes that the bunker area could have originally gone back further than it does now. It looks like perhaps it was walled off here. Notice the paper stuffed into the crack in the corner?

What creepy abandoned bunker tour would be complete without a closeup of a dead spider?

Just imagine finding this in the basement of your apartment building? Talk about creepy. I wonder what this was originally used for during the war. Hopfully nothing too sinister.
