Chances are that you don’t consider a leech to be a fearsome predator. This video shot by a BBC camera crew in Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia, might change your mind. Camera crews for the new BBC documentary Wonders of the Monsoon caught a giant red leech as it hunts a 27 inch blue worm and sucks it down like spaghetti.

We may have to deal with the winter cold in most of the U.S. right now, but at least there are no monsoons and giant red leeches to avoid. I might be scarred for life after seeing this.
