What A Little Boy Discovered In His Sand Box Will Make Your Inner Child SO Jealous

Graham Cohen, pool building and scrap metal recycling expert, has no shortage of creative ideas for his son Nash. When Nash was born, Cohen made him an extraordinary sandbox. This project was not just your typical kid’s play area, of course. It was filled with scrap metal “dinosaur bones” for Nash to dig out when he was old enough. When Nash finally got his hands dirty with the excavation, Cohen had an even bigger surprise for him upon completion!

At age 3, Nash finished digging up all of the “bones.”

Here’s what the pieces looked like once they were assembled, but let’s take a look at how it all came together.

The dinosaur was to be assembled on a cart so the two could move it in and out of the garage.

First he put the legs together. The feet are disc brakes.

The body is made from an old muffler.

The dino’s tail is an old exhaust pipe.

The ribs are made from whiskey barrel straps.

The back bone is made from metal plates.

Finally, the head was formed from the hood of a riding lawn mower.

It’s amazing what Cohen creates with other people’s trash.

What an amazing project for everyone involved! His son got to explore and learn, while dad got to craft something incredible. Now, where does one put a scrap metal dinosaur…?
