JP Gibson is a five year-old boy who has a passion for basketball. Sadly, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia back in 2012. However, that hasn’t stopped the little guy from enjoying his favorite sport.
JP is a huge fan of the Utah Jazz and when the team heard about JP, they decided to do something special for their little fan. The team signed him to a one-day contract and let him play in a team scrimmage at Energy Solutions Arena.
This is the moment he melted everyone’s hearts as he stepped onto the court and dunked (with a little help from 7-2 Jazz center Rudy Gobert).

Hopefully JP makes it through and can put “Former member of the Utah Jazz” on his resume.
