Bears are nature’s most adorable giant, with their sweet faces and cute, loping gate. Panda bears, koala bears, brown bears, black bears – all wonderful animals.
But, before we make the sweeping generalization that all bears are the best, let’s talk about the Sun Bear. A species of black bear, also called the honey bear after its affinity for the sweet treat, is not so easy on the eyes. Indigenous to Southeast Asia, these guys are unfortunately losing their natural habitat due to deforestation, but it seems like their woes don’t end there. Zoos in Japan are providing safe habitats for the bears, but Twitter has been blowing up with endless ridicule of these guys for being, um – well, less than graceful.
I think you have to see it for yourself to really understand what I mean.

Joking aside, I’m glad these guys have a safe place to live. These guys are so awkward, but kind of cute, too. Then again, if I saw one in the wild, I’m not sure what I would do, run from fear or fall over laughing.
