This Pup Went Through Something So Terrible, The ASPCA Will Pay $20k For Info

This pit bull puppy has experienced something so terrible, horrifying, and abusive, no living thing should ever have to endure. At a Bronx housing development, this severely malnourished dog was found in a suitcase, abandoned on the curb like any other piece of garbage. The crime is so unbelievable that the ASPCA is offering $20,000 for info that will lead to the conviction and arrest of whoever did this.

We can only hope for the best for the pup, and that whoever did this horrible thing is identified and brought to justice.

The 3-year-old dog’s survival is not guaranteed, as she went without food and water for an extended period of time.

There is no excuse for inflicting such suffering on a helpless animal.

Recently, officials have seen an increase in animal cruelty cases in New York. Because of this, the NYPD, in conjunction with the ASPCA, created a special unit dedicated to catching and arresting offenders, and rehabilitating the poor animal victims. The KARE (K9 Annex for Recovery and Enrichment) program is working: Since its inception, animal cruelty arrests are up 160%, and NY is on the road to becoming a safer place for pets.

While Cheeto is a KARE success story, the unnamed suitcase pit bull’s future is unsure. If you have any information about who might have done this, contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. And remember, you can always call the Humane Society of the United States at 1-877-TIP-HSUS if you spot an abused or abandoned animal anywhere in the U.S.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for this one poor pup.
