Every woman knows that good lighting is essential for doing your makeup. One man noticed how difficult it was for his girlfriend to do hers in a dark room on a small table, and took matters into his own hands. With a little bit of handiwork, he made her an awesome, Hollywood style vanity out of a vintage desk and a few LED lights. What a thoughtful Christmas gift! See how he did it below.
First, he purchased G4 sockets online to hold and power the LED light bulbs.

He wired the lights into an LED transformer and screwed the LED bulbs into the sockets to make sure they worked.

Then he drilled holes in the mirror frame for the sockets.

He put the sockets into the holes and secured them.

He tested the lights to make sure he was happy with the placement.

He installed the mirror and organized the wires.

To cover up the wires, he made a wooden back, leaving just the transformer exposed.
