Disney movies instill people, children and adults alike, with a healthy set of morals. What they’ve seemed to have forgotten, however, is what a healthy woman looks like. Over the years, many people have taken issue with how the Disney princesses look. Their appearances could potentially be giving young women body image problems. That’s why one artist decided to give the princesses a healthy update.
Loryn Brantz, an award winning animator, has updated Disney Princesses and given them healthier-looking bodies so that the people watching these movies know that those cartoons aren’t a realistic norm.
Under the sea and healthy.
I think Beast would be pleased.
A true sleeping beauty.
I asked the genie for a real waistline.
A waistline fit for a queen.
Looks like Pocahontas was ahead of her time in terms of waistlines.
That should help people realize that not everything that is animated is realistic. I’d also like to see Pinocchio get a nose job because there is no WAY that anyone has a nose that long.
