One of the best parts of the holiday season is the parades. Everyone loves a good parade – you get to see the creativity of hundreds of people on display. It’s the perfect way to really get in the holiday spirit. Parade floats are so fun, and they come in so many different designs and themes that they never seem to get old.
Some of you out there might think that having a parade float all your own is beyond your reach. Well, think again! One man decided he was going to build an awesome DIY parade float for his company, and, luckily for us, he shared his project with the world.
It started out as a simple trailer bed – the foundation of an amazing Santa’s sleigh parade float.
He began by constructing the skeleton of the sleigh – building up what would be the supports for the outer facade of the parade float.
What sleigh would be complete without skis?
This guy featured comfort as a top priority. To make it extra cushy for the sleigh riders, he added these plush salvaged car seats.
He then constructed the facade of the sleigh float out of plywood.
Finally, the best part! He painted the exterior of the sleigh red, added tinsel, lights, and wreaths to complete the festive look.
Not too shabby for a homemade parade float.
Here it is making its big debut!

Even if you’re not participating in a parade, it would be pretty awesome to cruise around town in one of these things during the holidays. There would be no doubt that you have the most holiday spirit in the neighborhood.
