Routine construction near London’s Canary Wharf turned into an amazing rescue when workers heard faint cries coming from somewhere at the active site. Found in a hole in the muddy construction site, this unrecognizable ball of filth was scared and alone. Luckily, after a good wash and some care, little “Muddsey” is as pretty and healthy as ever.
Who wouldn’t be grumpy when they’ve got this much caked up mud stuck to their coat?

It’s uncertain how long the fox cub was trapped in the filthy ditch, but thanks to the staff at South Essex Wildlife Hospital, Muddsey is now well-fed, well-hydrated, and well-washed. Good thing, because that face is the sweetest thing I’ve seen all day!
