These Notebook Doodles May Seem Simple, But They’re Actually Works Of Art

The doodles that fill notebooks, calendar and spare bits of paper in an office can be almost anything. The drawings can be sloppy or they can be detailed. Either way, they’re a great representation of a person’s mind.

Usually, when we doodle we’re also daydreaming. Daydreaming can lead to tons of creative thoughts, meaning that these two go together very well. I think part of the magic of drawing doodles is seeing whatever you’ve been daydreaming about depicted on a piece of paper.

I don’t know about you, but I want to have daydreams like the ones these people are having and drawing doodles from.

Here’s a beautifully depicted bird with tons of detail drawn in.

Some doodles can be fun, like this bear-shark. This creature is feared on both land and sea.

It’s a Raptor Jesus and Princess Batman. I don’t even know what to say about this one. Just yes.

This beautiful sketch certainly stretches the definition of what I’d call a doodle more in the direction of a real work of art.

I love doodles like these – multiple patterns and shapes all overlapping in one big doodle.

This one is gorgeous. It really does have a strange feeling to it. I can’t tell if the tree is underwater or the octopus is floating in the air. Whatever the case, it’s beautiful and dreamlike.

I wish I could doodle like this – I could probably draw the sword, but that’s about it.

I think I remember trying something similar to this back in my doodle days. Mine didn’t turn out nearly as well. It is absolutely mesmerizing.

This is another favorite of mine – I love the multiple patterns and the puzzle pieces are an awesome idea.
