Brendan Schaffer of Schaffer Art Studios uses the natural environment to make cool, unique art. It can be sand, rocks, grass, or whatever in nature inspires him. During the winter months, when snow is in abundance, Schaffer feels compelled to create amazing snow sculptures.
A recent sculpture they crafted may look like it would warm you up, but looks can be deceiving. For this project, Schaffer Art Studios decided to design and build an amazing snow sculpture of a campfire.
They saw an opportunity to make something amazing with all the fresh snow.
But, instead of building regular old snowmen like everyone else…
They designed and built a huge, snowy campfire, complete with a marshmallow on a stick.
With a spray bottle, water, and food coloring, they were able to make the roaring fire come to life!
Here’s Schaffer roasting a faux (or snow) marshmallow over the fire.

This is a pretty fun sculpture. It’s definitely inspired me to get out there and give snow sculpting a shot. And Schaffer Studios’ official Facebook page has some more examples of the awesome art they create.
