Ice sculpture may be one of the most fleeting forms of art, but they’re also one of the coolest. During the winter, ice sculptors come out in droves to participate in festivals and contests that allow them to show off their amazing skills.

Some create beautiful little sculptures of animals, while others create huge architectural masterpieces made of ice. All are awesome. And, unluckily, all will melt. But they’re certainly worth checking out while its cold enough for them to stick around.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to create anything as cool as these ice sculptures, but they’ve certainly inspired me to give it a try, or at least go out and see a local ice sculpture show myself.
