The newest cast member on TODAY is handsome, charming, and lovable, but not in the sense that you might think. Recently named, Wrangler, an 11-week-old yellow Labrador Retriever, will be hanging out in studio 1A while TODAY airs. In his spare time, he’ll be taking classes to become a guide dog to someone in need of his help.
Staff and specialists will train Wrangler on air, as well! For the next 16 months, he’ll be gracing TODAY with his cuteness, and we’ll all be able to watch his puppy manners (hopefully!) improve. Saxon Eastman from Guiding Eyes for the Blind will be taking him home each day, as well as facilitating his work toward a guide dog graduation.

Little Wrangler with the TODAY cast.
He’s just too cute!
Here he is admiring his newly revealed name.
Here’s the furry star with his trainer, Saxon Eastman.
By far, Wrangler is THE cutest member of the TODAY. We can’t wait to see how his journey ends. Someone 16 months from now is going to be very lucky to call the little pup his or her guide dog. If you didn’t have a reason to tune in for some AM banter, you definitely do now – and he’s an adorably fuzzy puppy with a purpose. If you’re on Twitter, you can follow his every step: @WranglerTODAY
