If you love books, you’ll be super into Japanese artist Tomoko Takeda‘s Story Series. …Or maybe you’ll be outraged that anyone would ever do something like this to their favorite works. It really depends on how you feel about an artist using what was once a perfectly readable book to make a sculpture.
That said, any concerns that these pieces are not works of art, but vandalism, will be washed away once you take a look at how beautiful they are. Not only can you tell that Takeda has a tremendous amount of respect for the works they used to make the sculptures, they really only add to the original works’ majesty.
