This cheeky raccoon was a bit too curious for its own good. Its head became stuck in a metal drain cover after taking a peek inside. Luckily, a Santa Cruz, California, animal shelter found the little guy. When they weren’t able to free him, they called officials from the Wildlife Emergency Services, who came to assist.
After a brief struggle with the feisty guy, the experts sedated him and carefully cut through the metal using an angle grinder.

After treating the raccoon’s superficial wounds, it was given a small snack and happily set free. Hopefully it doesn’t go looking in drain covers any times soon.
