Puppy mills are notoriously evil establishments. The animals in their facilities are never properly cared for and often suffer serious, life long illnesses. But thanks to a small group of incredible volunteers, over 100 poor pups were given a second chance at happy lives.
The organization is called Operation Cavalier Rescue and after just 11 days, they were able to raise $200,000 to rescue dogs who were about to be put up on an auction block. The group of eight women who completed the operation were able to retrieve 96 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, seven Shiba Inus, one French Bulldog, two Cocker Spaniels, one Shih Tzu and one Yorkshire Terrier.
The dogs were scheduled to appear as part of the SW Auction on November 22nd.

Not wanting to overwhelm one rescue organization, the dogs were spread across 5 groups.

Ingram’s own organization Cavalier Rescue USA was joined by American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue Trust, Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue, Treasured Pals Small Spaniel Rescue, and the Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue worked together to make sure no pup got left behind.
