China has some of the most interesting (and some might say bizarre) buildings in the world. However, what one affordable housing complex in the city of Qingdao is doing to their new buildings is just downright strange.
Here is the the Yichang Meijing, which translates to, Beautiful Scenery, Residential Neighborhood.

All up and down the high rise buildings, they have painted on fake windows that serve no functional purpose.

That must have taken some amazing coordination work to get all of those fake windows lined up just right.

I’m not sure how happy I’d be if I bought one of these units thinking I’d have an couple of extra windows only to be disappointed.

Aside from the fake windows, this apartment complex actually looks pretty nice. Just a shame they had to make it misleading with the extra, painted on windows.
