Extra protein might sound like a good thing, but Redditor Piranhamonkey is anything but pleased with the surplus. They’re not worried about becoming too hulking; rather, it has everything to do with the source of the bonus protein.
You see, when Piranhamonkey purchased a box of Cliff Bars, they expected to eat them as a delicious and nutritious on-the-go snack. One that they wouldn’t have to share with something like an Indian mealmoth larvae. Take a look at their troubling discovery below.
I think I’d pass on getting that extra protein, too.
What is most likely an Indian mealmoth larvae and some Indian mealmoth eggs. Mmm…
A cocoon. Yikes.
More cocoons!
Just in case you were wondering, this box was well within the “best by” date.
Sealed wrapper with no holes… that anyone can see, that is.

Yikes. That is absolutely revolting. I don’t care if those things pack an entire year’s worth of protein. Keep those bars away from me! The moth larvae aren’t dangerous for humans to eat, but does that matter? How could anyone eat those without gagging? Well, if you can, I’m sure Piranhamonkey is willing to part ways with them for a discounted price.
