Humans transforming into animals isn’t something that happens in nature. However, 26-year-old Jenya Bolotov from Russia might be the first exception to this rule.
Bolotov is now a platypus, or at least that’s what he’d like people to think. I know it sounds strange, but he’s a lot closer to resembling the strange mammal than you might think.
Bolotov stretched his lip so that it now juts out about two inches from his face. This makes it resemble the bill of a platypus. He also has black contact lenses and piercings on both sides of his nose to make his appearance extra platypus-like.
“Externally, I am now a platypus,” says Bolotov. “My resemblance is the way I want it to be. It takes bravery to do what I’ve done and I will keep modifying my body until I am happy.”
This is what Bolotov used to look like at age 18 before his piercings.
He gradually introduced the piercings. Once they healed, he slowly stretched them, millimeter by millimeter.
The transformation is nearly complete in this picture. He ditched the eyebrows here and went with tattoos instead.
The final product without the black eyes.
Can you see the resemblance?

How does he eat with his lip stretched out so far out? It might kind of messy. Still, you have to admire Bolotov’s dedication to achieving his goal. Those piercings look like they hurt.
