Hans Eijkelboom is a Dutch photographer who spent the past 20 years taking pictures of people in major cities. Something that becomes clear the moment one looks at his work is, no matter how culturally diverse a city is, we all tend to dress in a similar fashion. At first, that sounds nearly impossible, but Eijkelboom has the proof to back it up. Before checking it out, you might want to brace yourself, especially if you think you have a unique style. Unless you’re making your clothes yourself, there’s probably a sea of other people who are rocking the same outfit.
That sure is a lot of people who are thinking pink.
It looks as if the denim industry is alive and well.
Red winter jackets are great for visibility in snowy weather, but not so good for standing out in a crowd.
Even matching is matching.
It might come in different colors and sizes, but these people are flannel all the way.
Puffy coats: the alternative to red coats? That certainly seems to be the case.
It’s no wonder why we all dress the same: we’re shopping at the same stores.
Nothing says “I’ve got money” like a fancy wallet. I had no idea so many people were doing so well financially.
Obviously there’s going to be a bunch of photos of shirtless people rollerblading. Who hasn’t left the house in this type of getup? It’s the only way to blade!

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think everyone was emailing each other the night before to make sure we all had on the same clothes. I knew it wasn’t a simple task, but who knew dressing like an individual would be this difficult? At this point, we might as well all wear a uniform.
