If you haven’t seen what happens when you blow soap bubbles in the cold, you’re missing out. Lucky for you, artist and photographer Cheryl Johnson has been experimenting with the unique art form that was once just a childhood pastime.
Johnson made a series of beautiful soap bubble photos. The soapy suds freeze, forming incredible ice crystals, each pattern unique from the last. Check out some of the frosted bubbles below.
This might be my favorite one – it looks like the crystals are actually floating inside of the bubble. So cool!

I might have to give this frozen bubble thing a try myself. If I can capture anything half as good a these, it’s totally worth it.
