Sadly, animal abandonment is nothing new in our society. Whether the poor things are horrifically abused before being left for dead, or far too young to withstand the elements someone has so cruelly left them in, each case highlights one of the worst sides of humanity.
But, thankfully, for as many jerks as there are in the world, there are also those who selflessly extend their kindness to animals in need. People like this woman in Romania who was shocked by what she found inside a cardboard box while enjoying a walk.
Inside the box were four adorable, tiny black puppies.

Fortunately for the sweet youngsters, the woman who found them happened to work for Animal Protection Association Minis Arad, a non-profit organization for animals in Romania.

Thank goodness for organizations like Romania’s APAM and other rescue groups around the world for reminding us that kindness does exist, despite such extreme examples of cruelty. With their help, hopefully we will be able to outnumber the awful animal abusers and make stories like this a thing of the past.
