Art comes in many shapes and sizes… and all of it is subjective. Each person in the world may define art in very different ways. Fiona Tang’s work, however, must be widely accepted as absolutely mind-blowing art. In this series, Fiona’s subjects are all animals. These pieces aren’t your average nature painting. There’s something dark and mysterious about these murals. The mystical creatures are full of ferocious life and seem to jump off of the walls. How is that even possible?
Fiona Tang’s large-scale murals are made using charcoal, chalk pastel, and acrylic on paper.
The techniques result in art that seems to jump off of the walls.
Trompe-l’œil is an art technique that uses optical illusions to make the work seem 3D.
Fiona is marvelous at it.
The work isn’t just in black and white, either.
The same effects can be achieved with eye-popping color.
These murals are just incredible.
