The fashion industry is one of the hardest businesses to break into, especially if you plan on being a model. You have to have a certain “look” that people want, but no one is really sure what that “look” is. If you’ve ever tried to model and failed, there is some good news: dogs are currently doing better than you in the fashion industry. (At least one is, anyway.)
His name is Bodhi and he’s a 5 year-old Shiba Inu living in New York City with his owners, Yena Kim and David Fung. Yena, previously a designer at Ralph Lauren, has quit her day job to stay home and play dress up with Bodhi. Their pooch has over 150,000 Instagram followers and he rakes in about $15,000 a month.
Different brands approach Yena and David about working with Bodhi.
He models all of the looks on their Instagram account, Menswear Dog.
The couple adopted their beloved Bodhi when they were broke designers living in Harlem…and look at them now!
Shiba Inus are basically cats when it comes to the Internet.
They’re adored by all, and it’s easy to see why.
Just look at him! He’s ruggedly handsome.
But he knows when it’s time for serious business attire.
Bodhi is probably in the same income bracket as Pharrell, too (whose style hat he’s wearing).
$180,000 a year isn’t chump change.
I wonder if he has to pay income tax on that…
Ready For My Close Up
When all is said and done, that is a damn attractive dog. The age of the Internet has introduced so many new ways to make money. Who knew that a personal Instagram account could result in thousands of dollars a month?
