If you’re one of the lucky few in the world who can look back on their teen years without instantly cringing and turning red, congratulations. (I don’t like you.) You must have some serious genetic superpowers. But for the rest of us, life before adulthood was rough. Real rough.

Acne, lingering baby fat, and terrible outfit choices are just a few of the many things plaguing our little ugly duckling selves. But we all turn into swans, more or less. And it’s comforting to know that even the prettiest of swans (AKA celebrities) had to go through the awkward phase, too.
