CNN Is Eerily Very Prepared For The End Of The World With This Creepy Video

Allegedly, the last song played aboard the RMS Titanic before she sank to the bottom of the ocean was a Christian hymn by the name of, Nearer, My God, to Thee. A recently leaked video from the archives of CNN features the same song being performed by a brass band.

The catch though? This video was supposed to be saved for the end of the world.

Yes, you read that right. Back in the 1980s when CNN was founded, CEO Ted Turner specifically requested that a video be created featuring Nearer, My God, to Thee. The sole purpose of the video was that it was supposed to be the last thing CNN broadcast before going off the air at the end of the world.

I suppose it’s only appropriate that this should be the last thing playing on CNN during doomsday. Still, isn’t it just a little creepy that Ted Turner had a plan for ratings even during the apocalypse? Check out the video below.

Although it would be a pretty poetic way to end the world, I still can’t shake how creepy it is that CNN is even prepared for something like this. Luckily Ted Turner is no longer with the company. So I somehow doubt they’d actually broadcast this video if “the end of days” was happening.
