It’s hard to know what to believe nowadays. There are many conflicting accounts and ulterior motives to take into consideration when reading a story online. Its not just a problem for the Internet either, even news broadcasts on TV seem to be reporting on what people WANT to hear.
Shouldn’t they be reporting the facts that people SHOULD hear?
That kind of uncertainty has caused a lot of people grief… and as a result, some absolutely insane conspiracy theories were born.
1.) There’s another planet in our solar system called, “Planet X” that has a weird orbital path that is effecting our climate. It also may crash into us one day.
2.) Bruce Lee was killed by an ancient order of assassins from the Shaolin Temple for threatening to reveal their secrets.
3.) The plane that crashed in Shanksville, PA on 9/11 was shot down by the US Military.
4.) They are slowly making Standard Definition TV look worse so that HD looks that much better.
5.) Yuri Gagarin wasn’t the first person in space, just the first to return to Earth alive.
6.) North Korea was actually the country that carried out the Boston Bombings to celebrate Kim II-Sung’s 101st birthday.
7.) The pyramids are actually proto-technological conductors of electricity.
8.) The American government keeps in Alaska a machine that can control the world’s weather.
9.) Facebook is collecting all of our personal information so it can sell it to the highest bidder, or rule over us through intricate webs of blackmail.
10.) Miley Cyrus and Kanye West are just puppets for Obama.
11.) All the events in the movie Space Jam were real. It is a surprisingly accurate Michael Jordan biopic
12.) The Matrix is real.
13.) A race of ancient aliens gave us nuclear technology, bombed the real India a long time ago.
14.) North Dakota doesn’t exist.
15.) We can breathe in space. They just don’t want us to find out.
16.) Hitler isn’t dead. They castrated him so his voice wouldn’t be recognized.
17.) Fluoride was invented by the government to dumb down the population.
18.) The police somehow conspired to make white t-shirts and baggy pants a popular style to make young black easier to chase in the night.
19.) Venezuelan media outlets claim the devastating Haiti earthquake in 2010 was cause by the US government testing nuclear weapons.
20.) Columbus was wrong. The world is flat.
21.) Malala Yousafzai, the girl who was shot in the head by the Pakistani Taliban, was actually a CIA plant.
22.) Nazis live on the moon.
Wait… some people really don’t think North Dakota exists? I’ve never been there myself, but I have to assume it’s there. Right? … right?!
