This hungry fox cub was exploring a nearby garden when his nose led him to a smelly, discarded can that once contained food. The fox cub, full of curiosity, couldn’t reach the food without putting his head inside. When he finally looked inside, disaster struck.
The sharp edges of the can made it impossible for him to free himself. Fortunately, Simon from the Wildlife Aid Foundation was alerted to his troubles and quickly freed the little guy.

The cub made a quick exit after he was set free, traveling back to the safety of his den under a nearby shed. But this little baby was lucky. Many birds and mammals are not as lucky, and are injured, or even killed, by carelessly discarded items. Cans, plastic ring holders for cans, rubber bands, and other objects can all cause serious harm to animals. These situations can be completely avoided if the items are disposed of responsibly.
