Mother Sarah Amento is bravely battling Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. High school coach Rusty Simpson and the local Yucaipa High School football team wanted to do something incredible to support Sarah in her battle.
Before a big game to decide first place in their division, the whole team put on pink socks and the coaches put on pink shirts. As Sarah turned up to watch her son play, she was ushered onto the decorated field and into the center as the announcer shared her story. The boys began by taking off their helmets one by one and presented her with roses, which completely overwhelming her.
The boys shaved their hair in support of Sarah. They went on to win the game, placing first in their division. While the win will likely be forgotten, the hearts of this team will not!
