It feels strange to call anyone getting shot at “lucky,” but there’s no other word for this Israeli soldier. According to a Facebook post, the soldier was being fired upon by the opposition when he was struck by a bullet. Luckily for him, he had something strapped to his chest that kept him from getting wounded. Something I don’t think anyone would have expected to save a person’s life.
(via Elite Daily) The grenade he was wearing caught the bullet that would have otherwise pierced his chest. Thankfully, the grenade didn’t detonate. This has to be one of the few times that a grenade was able to save a life directly, instead of ending it. Share this post using the button below.
