Earlier this week, the billionaire founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, did the Ice Bucket challenge to raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Afterwards, he challenged Bill Gates to do the same, and Bill delivered!
This being Bill Gates though, dumping a bucket of ice water over his head wasn’t quite enough for him, he found a way to comically include some engineering and a blowtorch.

As is tradition, Gates got to nominate three others to do the challenge too. He picked Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, TED conference curator Chris Anderson, and Ryan Seacrest. I’m fully expecting Elon to somehow involve rockets and space ice when he does his (he just agreed to it on Twitter).
ALS, or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a fatal neuro-degenerative disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord. You can find more information about ALS here, and donate to the ALS Association here.
