Six years ago, gymnast Gina Giaffoglione was in a terrible car accident. The injuries she sustained left her paralyzed. That didn’t stop her, though, from finding a way to walk down the aisle at her own wedding.
Her dream was no easy task though. It took months of physical therapy just to get her body used to standing up straight after being wheelchair bound for so many years. The next colossal step of walking with her custom-made brace and crutch took a further few months of training. All the hard work was so worth it in the end though!
